Shawn Bailey has been solving business problems with technology innovations since 1994. His business tenacity, drive and leadership to pick up ailing projects and companies and turn them around earned him the nickname “schemer” among his closest peers. One of his closest friends, Andrew Hanson, comments, “Shawn has a reputation for taking challenges that no one else will touch with a 10 foot pole and always seems to find a way to deliver long-term success. In the process, companies learn how to achieve market dominance through Shawn’s very own strategies for corporate and e-business dominance.”
Shawn is a street-wise operator who started his first successful business when he was 16. Shortly after taking two years to complete an LDS Mission to Las Vegas Nevada, he used the internet for the very first time and decided it was his future. In 1994, Shawn applied for entrance to three universities and was told by all three that his goal of getting a double bachelor in Marketing and Computer Science was a waste of time. “The Internet will be nothing more than a university research tool. There is no reason to believe that companies will be making millions of dollars online – ever!”
Shawn began his foray into healthcare information technology and e-business strategy in 2002 which eventually led him to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho where he was instrumental in defining and executing the hospital’s Patient Engagement Strategy. Shawn was a founding member of an independent and statewide committee that eventually gained recognition by the state government to become the Idaho Health Care Consortium.
Today, Shawn has worked with some of the largest and most prestigious companies in the world such as Micron Technology, Syngenta Seeds, Trinity Health, and now American Medical File, Inc. He has also consulted for a wide variety of small business owners including advertising agencies, independent physician offices and clinics, garment manufacturers, internet marketers and investment brokers. His experience includes manufacturing capacity planning, software engineering, new technology product development, leadership and management, automation, and process improvement.
